Caught the Light: A Tower Bridge Moment After Work
London often rushes you — through trains, inboxes, and always-on calendars.
But every now and then, the city gives something back. Unexpectedly. Quietly. Like it did this evening.
I wasn’t planning to take photos. Just needed some air after work. I had my expandable backpack for urban use with me — always enough room for my camera, a spare jumper, and the habit of wandering with no real destination.
Crossing the Thames near Tower Bridge, I turned my head and there it was: sunlight hitting the glass of distant buildings, throwing gold back into the river. The kind of light that slows you down without asking permission.
No filter. No edits. Just that warm glow across water and stone.
It lasted maybe five minutes. But it felt like a reset.
Sometimes the most London thing you can do is stand still and let the light find you.
