Sharks in Crystal Waters: A Photographer’s Dream in the Bahamas
There are some places that feel unreal the moment you arrive—and the Bahamas is one of them.
During my latest trip to Exuma and Nassau, I found myself chasing that perfect moment between light, water, and stillness. No f

At one pier in Exuma, I stood in silence watching a school of nurse sharks glide beneath the surface. The water was so clear I didn’t need to snorkel or dive—they were right there, shadows swimming in the sun. If you're into marine photography, bring your waterproof camera backpack, because this spot is pure magic for your lens.
Further north in Nassau, the views changed but stayed breathtaking. Resorts lined with palm trees and turquoise lagoons gave the trip a slower rhythm. While Exuma felt raw and cinematic, Nassau offered space to reset, journal, and walk along the soft shoreline without aim.
Every day, I found myself reaching for my camera not out of urgency, but out of gratitude. There was always something worth remembering—be it a passing ray of sunlight, or a lone white boat bobbing in the bay.
If you’re looking for a warm-weather escape where your memories stay as vivid as your photos, the Bahamas is waiting—gentle, wild, and impossibly blue.
