🧳 What’s in My Everyday Bag: The Expandable Edition

I don’t have a fixed desk.

Some days I’m at a café, sometimes a friend’s apartment, or like today—a sunny corner of the local library with decent Wi-Fi. My routine moves with me, and often, so do my plans: a few hours of laptop work, a cycle through the park, and a detour to catch up with someone.

On ride days, I tuck my helmet into the expandable front pocket of my backpack. It fits snugly, doesn’t shift, and stays out of the way until I need it again.

When your workspace is mobile, your gear needs to be too. But your bag? Ideally, that stays the same.

Everyday rhythm: flexible, light, real

Expandable black backpack hanging on a white bicycle against a grey city wall, helmet tucked into the front pocket, ready for everyday urban riding.

This photo sums it up. Urban errands, café stops, library corners. I don’t plan around my bag—it adapts around me.

What’s inside, usually?

- 13" MacBook Pro (3 years strong, still running smooth)

- iPhone 14 (used for nearly every photo I take)

- iPad Pro (for sketches, notes, and PDFs)

- Kindle Oasis (helps me wind down)

- Beats Fit Pro (never leaves my ears)

- Power bank (because I live on devices)

- A cereal bar or flapjack—snack between locations

Sometimes I bring a hoodie. Sometimes I don’t. But I never feel like I’ve overpacked.

Why I haven’t changed bags in months

I used to rotate bags depending on my day. Now I don’t think about it. The expandable design takes the guesswork out of packing.

It’s not showy. It doesn’t demand attention.

It simply works—and that’s all I need.
